The super powered key to our plumping Hydro Primer is Sodium Hyaluronate. Sometimes you will see it referred to as Hyaluronic Acid and Hyaluronan. No matter what the name, the effect is tremendous. When applied topically, you can feel and see instant changes. It works by storing 10,000 times its molecular weight in water.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) is a compound that occurs naturally in every tissue of the body, with the highest concentrations occurring in skin, cartilage and eyes. Providing protection to cell structures, HA is the natural gel between skin cells that serves as a water reservoir for the cells. As we age, skin loses hyaluronic acid and the ability to hold sufficient water in this reservoir. Feeding new hyaluronic acid to skin may help hydrate skin's intercellular reservoir, raising skin's moisture level, and smoothing down age lines

This effectively allows water to be added back into the upper layers of our skin. Smoothing and plumping as it goes. It can be "cocktailed" with any of our products to make them go on more smoothly and sink in more quickly. We particularly like it with the Sea Buckthorn C Serum or the Bee Organic Mock Retin A as the citrus notes blend nicely, and they make these other products seem lighter because they are absorbed so quickly.

If you apply a drop to one hand and compare them in light, the visual changes are instant and impressive.

Hydro Primer ships in a one ounce dropper bottle and contains high dose Sodium Hyaluronate scented with pure essential oil of Lemon, known for its revitalizing and uplifting property. According to aromatherapy authority Jean Valnet, MD, lemon is a tonic for supporting the nervous and sympathetic nervous system. We chose it for how it treats dull skin by stimulating circulation and brightening skin. The bright happy scent is a great way to start your day.

To use our Hydro Primer, simply apply a few drops after washing your face. You can get close to the eye area to help address fine lines around the eyes.

This product is even more effective for clients with oil production issues or living in humid conditions, as it works as a humectant drawing moisture from the air and is totally water soluble so it feels light and refreshing. For those of us in drier climates, it is still effective because you apply it and an “underlayer” and follow with moisture which can penetrate more quickly because the skin is more receptive. We are loving both the scent and texture of this lightweight bb cream. You can pick between colors. We find them to be sheer in coverage so you want to go with a color choice just a hair darker than you would normally pick. For instance Queenie is normally “light” but picks either medium light or medium in this product.  

When looking at the swatches note that the final color will be a thin layer.  One of our favorite spa clients is outside with horses all day and says it is the best sunscreen she has ever used.
